Seminar Semantics

This past week has been awful busy. I spent four days this week at a software training seminar for a farm record keeping system. I learned a couple of new tricks, and seen some things that I already knew. The main point with the program is simply going to be putting the time into it to get back out of it what you can use. Dad and Grandpa have farmed all their lives by deciding what they were going to do when they wanted to do it. No records or recording were kept until everything was said and done for the year. If I am going to use the program, I am going to have to committ time to it everyday, as if it were an actual job. I could treat it as a full time job if I wanted, keeping all the financial records and activities of all our families as like an accountant might for a large company.

It was pretty tiring really. Tuesday and Wednesday, I drove to Dayton and back both days. It seems that whether I go via 32 and 275 or  via Wilmington and 35, its abou the same 80 mile distance from my house to that hotel. Thursday and Friday I went to Columbus, but stayed at my brothers place Thursday night to save on some driving. I also got to sleep in some  Friday morning, which was nice. I woke up to about three inches of snow on my truck. I got to meet up with a friend and his fiance also. I asked them how they arrived to one of the conclusions they did and recieved conflicting answers from the two of them. It was really pretty funny, but I was glad to see them none the less.

I also have found someone to be a little hypocritical. A little bit of research and I saw what I thought I had seen earlier. It would seem that when I justify something, its an excuse, but they are free to do nearly the same when the situation presents themselves. I thought about confronting this person, but feel that vaguely blogging about it is enough for me.

In other news, I have seen several movies since I last blogged. District 9 was good, Dogma was as funny as I rememberd it, Land of the Lost was okay, Religulous gave me a look that I wasn't scared or worried about hearing. I have seen some more, but my internet is slow right now so I am going to not look them up. I also got in my wii sreaming netfix DVD, so will be putting that to task soon also. I doubt that I can download a full movie with my internet service, but do have unlimited data from 3 am to 6 am. So I will wake myself up early once, see if I can download a movie, pause the playing off it, and then go back to bed.

  1. If you are referring to me, tell me to my face rather than blog about me. That is childish and rude. What do you have to say to me? What am I doing that you feel is hypocritical? Do not EVER call me a hypocrite!
