Housesitting

Well this week I volunuteered myself to housesit for my parents while they are in pennsylvania watching my sisters basketball teams national tournament. Its not to bad a deal, they now have a wireless internet so I can waste time on my computer as effeciently here as at my own place. My only real responsibility is staying here so that Ebru has a someone watching over her ant the house at night.

Part of staying here is finding a place to sleep. I don't want to sleep in my parents bed as that would seem too oedipus like or something. There are some beds upstairs, but the upstairs is poorly heated and I don't want to sleep any where near a 17 year old girl. I don't think I could ever do anythign immoral in terms of that, but much prefer to sleep on the couch. Last night I slept on a couch, and it might have been better, but I had three dogs that wanted to cozy up and act like dogs all night long.

Today I also subbed for a kindergarten class at the elementary school were my mom teaches 5th grade. The tikes were tiring, and I was bombarded with questions all day long. I must have been handed 50 pencils to sharpen and been handed about 20 handmade knick nacks from the tikes by the end of the day. I was surprised by how bit the kids actually were. I always thought kindergartners would be smaller, but alas, they were not as small as I thought they would be.
