I have gotten into the habit of having a handkerchief with me nearly all the time. At one point during the last summer, I had about seven or eight that I could rotate around and keep fresh. I have now noticed that I am down to about three for some reason. All three of those are ripped also, so they almost don't count. I just need to go out and buy some more really. I don't only use my handkerchef to blow my nose or as a snot rag. If it is clean and fresh, I use it as a wipe for my glasses, or to wipe the sweat off of my brow. Even if the handkerchief did have some snot on it, I don't finish my day and decided I don't need a shower. I usually have some amount of grime or dust that necessitates a shower when I get in at the end of the day. So if I decide to use a less than clean handkercheif to wipe off my forehead, I am okay with it because I know I will shower at the end of the day. I also have used my handkerchief to wipe off my hands when I get grease on them or some other type of grime. They are very useful when I am out farming.
I also heard my dad comment once that my namesake used to always carry around a handkercheif also. I wonder if that habit is hereditary now, or if we both just had that much common sense.
I am also making a return to my alma mata and former employer as a sub tomorrow. I get to sub in the ag class. I think I will do my best to not eat lunch with the rest of the staff though. I usually eat my lunch based on when I can get to classroom. I am a bit phobic about students beating me back to my sub room after lunch and being unsupervised. If I fell that the room is close enough to the teacher lunch room, I will eat lunch in the teacher room. If not, I usually eat lunch in the classroom. I am not warranted the use of a key, and I shouldn't be, so I try to be in my sub room when I can.
