Well, had a bit of an interesting week at school. I ended up sending one kid to the office and two more got detention write ups for sleeping in class. I really can't blame the ones who fell asleep, that chapter we are covering is boring as shit. The teacher didn't even leave a test and there were hardly any notes to take from the chapter. The principal, the assistant principal and me all dressed the same way one day at school. The three of us do lunch duty at the same time and one of the secretaries was laughing a little bit about that. The horticulture class is heading south here soon as well, the outlines I was given don't call for very detailed information, but the kids are really waiting for it. The ag II class is learning something, but the outline I was given doesn't really suit my teaching style. Really, the whole curriculum she has in place doesn't really sit well with me. I even managed to do a couple of things wrong also. During a lockdown drill, I locked a door but didn't latch it shut and the principal caught me. The garage door broke on my watch and I clogged up a toilet in my auxilary buildings bathroom. The guys I eat lunch with now ask me everyday what I broke today.
I am also a bit down on college football fandom. I am not getting the excitement and camaraderie from a football saturday that I would like to have. In columbus, everyone talked and was excited about the game every week. Here in the BC or HC, there are casual fans at best. My family worries a bunch more about getting work and other activities done. The football game is an afterthought. I can hardly find anyone who is willing to go. I ended up with four available tickets for the illinois game tomorrow, and am taking two first timer with me. I can't even think of anyone else to ask that could go. I could ask my younger brother to go, but he has said no to me before, so I quit asking him to do things with me. My sister and her husband have other commitments. I could see if bobby hill wanted to go, but don't really want to ride in a car with him for four hours there and back.
