H1N1 now has local effects. Because of the contagiousness of H1N1, the church has changed how things are done in church. No longer will we be able to drink communion wine. No longer can we shake hands when we are spreading peace. No longer can we hold hands and lift them to the Lord during the Lords prayer. I am not sure what to think about these things. I liked the way catholics did things during mass. It may be very different for the next couple of months until the scare goes away. Father did give a good mass, I was a bit worried he just had some goofy sermon for us when he got started. About halfway through he did get serious and say some good things. I would like for him to relate his stories more directly to the Bible however. I also have to consider my health when subbing. Is one of the high school kids going to get it? Should or when should I get a shot?
I also now have jury duty. A paper came in the mail asking me to show up tuesday morning. At least I can get some sub plans for a sub together by monday.
