at the drive in

With the official end of summer upon me, I thought I would talk about something that I didn't get to do this year that I really missed out on. I am talking about the drive in. Last year I went to the drive in and seen the dark knight and get smart in a double feature. It was a great night of movies. I took my cooler, bought some mountain dew, a package of chocolate donuts, and some other snacks. I took a battery powered dewalt radio and sat in some chairs in the back of my truck. I didn't get home until after 4 am. The ex didn't think she would like a batman movie, but that one was hard not to enjoy. I would have liked to have a good reason to go again this year, but it didn't happen. While not very many spectacular movies came out this summer, the drive in would have been fun regardless of the feature. What might have been the best part was that the tickets only cost about 5 dollars total. It also provided a good alternative to plainly throwing back some beers.
