Well tonight I went to the bengals game with my grandpa. I sat with him and my great uncle. The bengals predictably lost, but I thought I would write out my history with professional football. It was easy to follow the bengals as a kid, they were a local team that all the adults around me would talk about. While they only had one winning season in recent history, games and the team were a fun distraction on here in appalachia. We have had access to season tickets at least since they built the new stadium. The seats we have are in the east end zone, section 152. We have four seats there, but my grandpa owns two seats to half of the home games. Maybe this makes more sense. Farmer Rich, doc mckinley, pharmacist ferguson, and park ranger bloom are all in on the season tickets. We split up the tickets so that there are 2 tickets to every home game. I make a point to always say yes to going to the games nowadays. If I say yes, I may be asked if I want the tickets when there is bad weather or someone cannot make it. I have gone to games before when I had all four tickets, or got to give away all four tickets. Generally the bengals games are awful. I did get to see the highest scoring game in bengals history, when the beat the browns and both teams scored in the 50+ point range. I went to a game and stood on a foot of snow wearing bib overalls and a heavy jacket. I was there when corey dillon threw his pads in the stands. I don't remember going to the old stadium, but grandpa says we did have tickets. I never have gone and did any tailgating. It is hard for me to round up enough people to go that can be anywhere early. We do have a parking pass for a close lot, but park ranger bloom usually gets it. This means that my grandpa is willing to park more than a mile away and walk the rest of the way.
I have also reached a new level of lameness. I ordered grilled cheese to eat at frisch's tonight. Our waiter had a speech impediment and didn't want to stop talking to us after I told him my sister had just started working at the eastgate frisch's. I usually get fish and chips, but was not in a real great mood to eat. My grandpa likes going to eat after the games, but I had already eaten a bag of peanuts and drank a mountain dew at the game. I am also thinking about taking a sabbatical from F'booking. Between all of my friends activity and my old students adding me, it is just depressing currently Hopefully Mrs. Minton will have her baby soon so I will have something subbing/teaching to occupy my mind.
