trabajando en el campo

Well the crop harvesting season is underway. We have a couple of acres cut down, and will finish one of the barns tomorrow. My grandpa has apparently interpreted the h2-a rules so that he has to be grumpy most of the time. I have also come to the conclusion that he never takes a moment to relax at all during the day. He always has a fresh thought, or chore, or task that he wants to talk about. He can usually rattle on about that task for quite some time. We can be as busy as possible, but he will think of something else that we should be doing that usually cannot wait. I am learning some more spanish, and trying to teach dad and grandpa more spanish also.

I also watched Kevin Smith's latest but not greatest movie, Zack and Miri make a porno. The movie had some high points, but the class reunion was what I wanted to blog about. As a 2001 graduate, my 10 year reunion is fast approaching. I really have nothing to look forward to at this point for that event. Maybe that will change in 2 years, but it's hard to say. I live in the area still and worked at the building with all our old teachers for a year. I may be a bit of a lamer to people who got out and achieved something. Sure some of them may be surprised that soft spoken me went to big scary Ohio State, but all that got me was back home doing a job that a college degree is not necessary for. Maybe I could try getting loaded, but that won't make a good impression on many people. I was not really good friends with many of them, and plenty of people will be curious about how I worked there for a year and am now not. Hopefully I will be gainfully employed by that time. I don't have a friend like Miri who gets me at all. I did have a group of friends that I talked with at school, but was not really committed to any cohort. The people on the basketball team tolerated me, my buddy's from ag class only had ag class with me, the people I had cp classes with had their own little agendas to busy themselves with. I did graduate 9/89, but was only a 91 average I think.
