The worst part about the first book was all the names and lineage to read. Reading generation after generation of who had who was a bit dull. I did like reading all the stories and events that happened in Genesis, I just had a hard time keeping up with all the names of everyone. I read about one character in Genesis that I was hoping to find eventually. A post about him will come later. I thought it kind of weird how everyone referred to God as "my God." There must have been plenty of dispute about what God and religion was back then. That must have something to do with the commandment about not worshipping any false idols. I also found all the parts about land and places a bit confusing. Some of the customs and sayings in the book were a bit hard to keep up with, but the whole book will likely be that way so I better get on board.
Overall, I thought Genesis was pretty good and look forward to reading Exodus.
I'm watching some cheesy movie from the 80's on tv now, it's pretty funny. Its about a canadian mountie who investigates deaths at a cheerleader camp. The best joke so far was a mother telling her son not to touch himself because he will go blind. Then his father came out the door with a seeing eye dog and sunglasses on. He was a pencil salesman. The son bought a pencil then opened his suitcase to put the pencil away. A whole lot of pencils fell out of his suitcase. The move also has the actor who played pee wee herman in it, and he is pretty darn funny in it.

I have a minor in Bible, and I still find some things confusing. And there was a lot of worshipping of false gods back in that time. Baal was one of the biggest false gods. If you don't like reading about lineage, skip the first part of Matthew too.
