Aggravation

My dad has gotten really aggravated with me lately. The main problem is that I think we need to be thinking about easier ways to do things on the farm. He thinks we should keep doing things the hard way so that we get enough exercise. If things were easier, we could finish our day at a reasonable time and do the exercise we wanted. Part of the problem is that a neighbor recently gave me a home gym set that they wanted to get rid of. I had them set it outside on my sidewalk, where it will stay until I can get rid of it. I don't really care to bulk up and become muscle bound. I would prefer to become more lean from running and cardiovascular efforts. I am going to buy a treadmill here soon, going to check craigslist after I get done posting this. I have also already expressed interest in starting the p90x program. With that program, I buy some dumbells, a pullup bar and have all I need for that program.

I had always stayed under 190 until after I turned 21. While my current weight is not uncomfortable, this much bulk is not doing me much good. I need to lose the weight and get into a good routine and diet while I have the mental and physical capacity to start and finish a program. Wii fit is a fun little distraction, but I never did really take it as a serious exercise effort.

In other news, my grad school work is going slower than expected. Whenever I start to do some scholastic reading, my eyes get heavy and I get sleepy. Maybe it is the sudden stop of activity after helping out on the farm today. My literature review that I am near finishing is getting pretty close to done, but will have to be revised. The good thing is that I can turn in a paper until it receives a satisfactory grade. If I don't do well enough the first time, I make some revisions and try again.

I also want to talk about a new goal I started on. I found a bible yesterday while cleaning up some of my brothers things. I never have read the bible all the way through and think I should do that before time gets away from me. The problem I have is that the bible I found was printed in about a 3 font. I have pretty awful eyesight, but I have to take my glasses off to be able to read this bible laying down in bed. I can take my glasses off and not see be able to discern anything on my laptop screen while I sit here and type this. Hopefully I can get to a bookstore soon and find a bible that I can read easily.
